This wikiHow teaches you how to save a backup of your entire Photos library on a Mac. You can automatically upload all your pictures to iCloud if you want an online backup, or copy your Photos Library file to an external drive if you want. You're Mac is kept safe regardless of what OS you happen to be using on it, which is pretty cool. Further security protection is provided by MacKeeper's Anti-Theft module. If your Mac is ever stolen, Anti-Theft can track its geographical location based on Wi-Fi and IP address; and then report its location back to you.

To get started, plug the Picture Keeper into a USB port on your computer. Normally, an icon for the drive will appear on your desktop (see image below). This icon can look different depending on your computer settings and may be labeled PKBackup or PKPro. Double-click on this icon to open the drive.
If the desktop icon does not appear, you can start the Picture Keeper by opening a Finder window (the smiley face in the dock.)
A window will open and you should see the Picture Keeper drive displayed in the left column under the ‘Devices’ section.
Click on it once to display its contents in the right side of the Finder window. Then double click the PictureKeeperForMac file to start the Picture Keeper software.
