Tux Paint for macOS
Tux Paint for macOS comes as three disk image (.dmg) files. One contains main program (Tux Paint), another contains the configuration program (Tux Paint Config.) for parents and teachers; copy both of them to your hard drive's Applications folder. The third contains an application that installs the optional 'stamps' collection.

- One of the key demographics for Apple's Macintosh line of computers is the artist. Its intuitive interface is part of the reason, as is the early adoption by Adobe and other artist-oriented companies. MacPaint was included with the very first Macintosh sold, and paint programs have found a home on Macs ever since.
- Painting 2.0.2 is maintenance release recommended for all users; Painting 2.0.2 will also now use the current selection (if any) to determine the custom icon for saved documents.
